Day Spa in Kathmandu? Any recommendation

Hi,

Would anybody help me to recommend day spa services in Kathmandu, or near by Thamel? It would be best if you have visited that spa you are about to mention here.

I am just thinking of getting some full body oil massage and reflexology.

Anybody? Any Spa ?

    There’s a new spa called Heritage Spa in Sanepa Chowk (Height), on the way to Shining Star School.
    I tried their recommended one; “Sea Salt Body Scrub” followed by “Balancing Ayurvedic Spa Treatment”. Fairly good enough. Clean space, and green environment. Their Camphor mixed Ayurvedic oil is just soothing, cause, it was non-sticky and non-greasy. Must try folks.

        ” I regularly visit day spas for relaxation as i travel a lot. But i never got chance to take my dear wife, for any reason, to the take massage around KTM, i never felt comfortable taking her there, now when i entered Heritage Spa and saw its locality and surroundings, i felt like my dear will really like it for sure, and i am going to treat her this FEB 14. She will love it. Staffs here are young and quite successfully keeping it like a family environment.

      - Jasmine Fitness Club (World Trade Center, Tripureshwor, 4117115, 4117120) or
      - Chaitanya Spa ( Bakhundole, Sanepa, Lalitpur, Tel: 5547774/ 5547971)

      I prefer Jasmine Fitness Club, Swimming pool is just nice

      We do not have Jacuzze yet, but if you would like to have a best SAUNA and STEAM bath in town, then Heritage Spa could be one (families can join as well). We use pure Eucalyptus Essence oil for Steam Bath, the max temperature is 54 degree Celsius. And for Sauna max temperature is 95 degree Celsius
      .
      Our Sauna and Steam bath facility is built outdoor and you can see pictures here.

      We are priced at 550/- Rs per person / per hour for non-members. (new price for 2013)

      Please note that we never book others when you are booked on the same time. We maintain and practice highest level of SPA ETHICS.

    I also went to Kathmandu Spa in thamel (near hotel vaishali). I found it clean and the service is too good.
    Yes, you should check any spa before you take the service. I am sure you will like Kathmandu Spa and its service.
    I higly recommend it.

      In order to loose wait, you need to consult with fitness expert or dietitian. or, if you want to go gym i recommed Jasmine Fitness Club located at United World Trade Center, tripureshwor. I love the gym station over there, and you can get personal fitness adviser on request as well. After gym you can enjoy swimming on the top floor, Good ambiance there.

      Or, else you can learn Zumba (a type of dance) to keep you fit.

    I tried several spa in and around Thamel. Most of them are fairly good. You have to check their place first before you start taking service. Most of places with sign board “… Massage” are not real massage centers, they are selling something else.
    I visited newly opened “Kathmandu Spa” in Thamel, near Hotel Vaisali. It’s very clean place, the staffs are friendly and the massage therapists are very very professional. Its very good place if you want to relax couple of hours taking different spa services. I took 90 minute trekker massage (deep tissue) and its so relaxing, amazing.

      Thank you Peter for recommending “Kathmandu Spa” in Thamel. I tried this place on your comments and found that was a very good place to have proper massage. (not sex massage ! ).
      The place was very clean and nice, good music, and very relaxing massage. I would definitely recommend it to everybody who is looking for good place to have massage.

    Hello Namaste,
    We also provide whole body oil massage, Thai traditional stretching massage, reflexology, shirodhara(oil treatment) and steam bath services. Our center is about 5 km far away from Thamel and 1.5 km from Monkey Temple. There are few spa centers in the city but we can’t say about the services they provide. You have to do a proper inquiry before you check in.

      Great service at THE REAL THERAPY or HIMALAYA RETREAT SPA near Tom & Jerry pub. Perfect place, very hospitable people.
      My 2 hours after arriving Nepal from BKK; very refreshed after the jet lag.
      And my 5 hours day package after the trek; wonderful relaxing to muscles after the hard work walkingggggggggggg to himalayan foot hills.
