The recent flood does not mean that all trekking routes in Nepal are unsafe. The disaster is concentrated in the northern border region, particularly around Rasuwa and the Bhote Koshi river corridor. The Everest, Annapurna, and Manaslu regions are situated in different drainage systems and were not directly affected by this flood.
However, trekkers should not assume that all routes are operating as normal. Monsoon rains, landslides, damaged roads, and volatile mountain weather can still disrupt access to trekking areas.
Everest Base Camp Trek

Langtang Valley Trek
Travel to the Langtang region is strongly discouraged at this time.The Langtang Valley is located in Rasuwa District, which is the area most severely impacted by the current disaster. The access road toward Syabrubesi has sustained heavy damage, and safety conditions throughout the surrounding area remain uncertain.
Trekkers should avoid traveling to Langtang Valley until local authorities confirm that access routes are safe and operations have fully resumed.
